The centerpiece of this unique venue, cradled by the ancient Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, is a renovated 1950 tobacco barn. The main hall looks out over the valley with a 22 foot high grand window, and will hold up to 40 people for meetings or gatherings.

The Lodge is comfortable and inspiring, with a balcony railing crafted from the old tobacco poles, and art from around the world. Skylights and lots of glass make the interior light and airy; high cathedral ceilings and walls are finished in lodgepole pine. The latest solar technology graces the gambrel-style original roof, even as the light from the fire in the quaint gas stove warms the main hall in the winter.

Accommodations for 26 are available on-site, and a fully equipped kitchen and dining area seat 30 people in a variety of seating combinations that you can arrange. Outside, the dining porch overlooks the pond, gazebo, waterfall, and Boathouse. Bend of Ivy Lodge has become the model of a retreat center for me and our Leadership programs. The deep and obvious care of the land is present in the beautiful and mindful way that both the gardens and the buildings are cared for. The work that I get to do here is transformative; the place makes it sacred.

The nearby Pavilion provides a special space for workshops and wedding receptions.

The land provides a serene and peaceful outdoor space with hiking trails, long mountain views, quiet woods, and a glade of trees by the river. There is plenty of space for outdoor events and weddings.
