Susan will share an engaging exploration of Conscious Capitalism, an international movement created by Conscious Capitalism Inc. (CCI) where business is practiced consciously to elevate humanity as a force for good.
We’ll explore the four principles of Conscious Capitalism (Higher Purpose, Stakeholder Orientation, Conscious Leadership and Conscious Culture). Conscious Capitalism is an impactful profit strategy too. We’ll interact and explore ideas and resources to help a leader be more conscious in their business journeys, and life.
Conscious Capitalism is, at heart, about people and about connecting. It’s about making a difference through business and using capitalism for its highest good.
Some about me (Susan):
Susan is CEO/ co-business owner of Intentional Growth LLC dba Bend of Ivy Lodge (IG). Located in Marshall, IG is a conscious business that stewards people, purposes and place. Stewarding for Susan comes in several ways, including roles as a leadership coach, Presence-Based® Coach and co-owner/ general manager of Bend of Ivy Lodge (BOI). BOI is a holistic private venue offering a 63 acre nature-focused property for private rental. Other roles for Susan include mom, grandma, wife, daughter, sister, friend, designer, advocate and life-long learner.
Susan has diverse experience in business, coaching, personal development and leadership development. She’s worked with entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, teams, large corporations, non-profits and academic institutions. Passionate about coaching, Susan’s client focus is women, leaders and individuals in transition. Her coaching work is deep, supporting changes and growth edge shifts with a mixture of eastern wisdoms and western neuroscience. Susan is a UNC System women’s leadership coach and a Leadership Asheville team coach.
Susan and husband Alan (both co-own and steward Bend of Ivy Lodge) are passionate Conscious Capitalism advocates. They are collaborating with other passionate local advocates to create an Asheville Conscious Capitalism initiative (informal chapter currently). Our purpose is to teach, reach, share and impact (advocacy) the Conscious Capitalism movement in Asheville area. We want to connect like minded individuals and organizations in Asheville.
