Limited on-site lodging options are available at Bend of Ivy Lodge.

October room reservations are booking now. Room reservation fee is refundable within 48 hours of booking, if booking 4 weeks before the event. Fee is non-refundable outside of this time period.

Shared Room space: The Roadhouse, a lovely separate lodging studio space is shared space available for 2-3 people. It's near the Lodge, 3 minute walk.

If commuting, you MUST register and pay Commuter Retreat Property Fee for the 4 day training. Payment link in Commuters Registration section and here. Commuters have full access to BOI's nature sanctuary (including trails, labyrinth, etc), refrigerator use, daily beverage service and parking. 


Please ride share when possible. Parking is limited at venue.

We encourage you to arrive at least 15 minutes before session start, to give ample time to park and get to training room.

Friday morning before first session starts, BOI staff will assist with parking guidance at 9am, 30 minutes before session start. And assist those with limited mobility with shuttle support from the Main Parking Lot, between 9am-9:30am. Suggest arrive before 9:15. Training is in the Lodge.


Beverage Service:

Coffee, tea and water service will be available in morning and afternoon. Please bring your own cup, mug or beverage container. We'll have some paper cups available too.  

Optional Box Lunch ordering:

A catered Box Lunch option will be available for $15 + tax each day. There will be 3 daily options for a boxed lunch, which includes meal and a cookie. Gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options available. Water and tea will be available on-site at Bend of Ivy. Please choose the 'Pick Up' option so that you do not get charged a delivery fee. Boxed lunches must be ordered by Monday, October 2.

Other lunch options:

Bring your own lunch & can store in BOI fridge (label your food!) 


Local grocery stores, restaurants and fast food in Weaverville, 12 minutes drive.

On-site lodgers have use of Lodge Refrigerator.

BOI Lodging guests:

No catered meals will be available through BOI. Guests arrange for their own food. An SEI facilitator can provide shuttle car support to local fast food place. Ask Lisa.

The Lodge commercial kitchen is available for lodge guests' self-cooking until 30 minutes before trainings start. Please email us at for questions.

Driving Directions to Bend of Ivy Lodge: 

Follow map directions for 3717 Bend of Ivy Road, Marshall, NC. At Oak Grove Road and Bend of Ivy intersection, look across the road, to the left of the church parking lot, for a big black mailbox and large Bend of Ivy sign.You’re here, at the Bend of Ivy entrance! Enter our gravel driveway. Look to your right upon entry, and enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains and Mt. Mitchell. Follow signs to Lodge and parking lot.
