Meet the Bend of Ivy Team
We have several wonderful approved catering teams to support client culinary needs when renting our venue.
Long time BOI chef Dava Melton is one of our approved culinary chefs. Dava is intimately familiar with the Lodge, provides amazing meals at a reasonable price, and brings a loving presence to everything that she does.
Clients are also welcome to do their own cooking. Most retreat, wellness and corporate groups contract with one of our experienced catering teams. Amazingly good and nutritious food is key to a retreat or workshop experience.
Our teams work with clients directly to develop menus appropriate for tastes and group dietary needs, including vegetarian and vegan options.
There is always a lot going on at Bend of Ivy. Keeping the property beautiful takes time and lots of TLC. We are thankful for our team.
Knowledgeable grounds team includes different staff and seasonal helpers, including the Goat Herd. Our 7 goats are constantly clearing different paddocks and they are great at what they do!
When our grounds crew isn't in the gardens or mowing the fields, they may be working on a special project. Whether building a new hay shed for the goats or redoing the rockery stream near the pond, our crew helps keep Bend of Ivy's grounds and buildings beautiful and cared for.
Housekeeping & Other Team Members
Our housekeeper Erin offers an organized, calm, and friendly presence to clients. She’s thorough and knowledgeable on healthy and environmentally safe products.
BOI Office Manager Rhonda is big help managing our financial record keeping, and books. Rhonda and Alan (BOI CFO/ Co-Steward/ Co-Owner/ goat whisperer) are a great team!
Loving the land is Jackson, our energetic border collie. Occasionally he may be seen jumping in the pond or darting on the land when guests not on site.
An occasional visiting goat herder and greeter is beloved Dobbie and Murphy.
